Greetings! My name is Laura Coffey. I am the owner of Passage of Hope and am so happy that you have stopped here to learn about therapy options. With over 3 decades of experience as a therapist and serving in a variety of mental health care venues, I am dedicated to guiding individuals through the complexities of trauma, providing a safe space for healing and personal growth. My approach is rooted in the belief that every person’s journey is unique, and I strive to meet clients where they are, addressing both immediate challenges in daily life and deep-seated trauma impacting their wellbeing. My passion lies in helping individuals discover resilience within themselves, empowering them to navigate difficult emotions and build healthier relationships. Whether working with voluntary clients seeking personal transformation or supporting those navigating involuntary situations, I am committed to fostering hope and facilitating a holistic healing process that encompasses mind, body, and spirit. Through a compassionate and collaborative approach, I integrate various therapeutic modalities to tailor treatment plans to each individual’s needs. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is used frequently in my therapy delivery because of its effectiveness and positive outcomes. This includes exploring the impact of past experiences on present behaviors, identifying coping mechanisms, and fostering self-awareness to facilitate lasting change. When I am not working, I love spending time outdoors – connecting with God and nature. Spending time with family and serving others in need are things that make my heart happy! My goal is to empower clients to not only manage symptoms but to actively create a life filled with meaning and purpose.
