About Me
I am a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and Certified EMDR Therapist with nearly thirteen years of experience helping individuals heal from the lasting effects of trauma. My expertise lies in working with high-achieving professionals who struggle with perfectionism, anxiety and a fear of failure, those who are struggling with trauma related to infertility and pregnancy loss, those with a history of childhood emotional neglect and other types of relational trauma—individuals who appear successful on the outside but continue to carry the weight of past experiences internally. Throughout my career, I have provided trauma-focused therapy in both community mental health and private practice settings, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and, since 2016, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. I became an EMDR Certified Therapist in 2020, further deepening my commitment to evidence-based trauma treatment. While traditional therapy offers valuable support, I have found that EMDR Intensives provide a structured and accelerated path to healing, allowing clients to process trauma efficiently and effectively without the limitations of weekly sessions. As one of the few bilingual EMDR Certified Therapists in Texas, I am dedicated to offering trauma-informed care that is both compassionate and results-driven. My goal is to help clients move beyond survival mode, break free from the patterns of anxiety and perfectionism, and experience lasting emotional well-being.
Education & Experience
I received my Bachelor's degrees in English and Psychology (with a minor in Spanish) at Southern Methodist University and my Masters in Counseling at Dallas Baptist University in Dallas, TX.
