About Me

Based in Northern BC, I am a Registered Social Worker with an anti-oppressive, narrative, and somatic lens. My journey into social work practice and therapeutic practice began with my learning in intersectionality and anti-oppressive practice around 2010 at the University of Victoria. I have experience supporting children, youth, adults, and families who struggle with Complex Trauma, Early Childhood Trauma, Physical Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Neglect, Gender-Based Violence, Sexual Violence, and Racialized Trauma. I am continually working on decolonizing my practice approaches. I am an advocate for cultural sensitivity and competency in therapy. My practice reflects a comfortable and inclusive space for children, youth, adults, and families to explore mental health, trauma, goals, stories, and healing.

Education & Experience

My areas of specialization include counselling for trauma and gender-based violence, using Somatic Experiencing (SE), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). I hold a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Victoria and Master of Social Work from Dalhousie University, and have over 10 years of experience in social work practice.
