About Me
I have worked in a wide range of mental health settings with over 10 years of clinical experience, and I believe in empowering clients to achieve positive change by fostering their individuality, resilience, and self-confidence. Clients can expect me to show up as both relational and authentic, while also providing clear structure and direction in the therapeutic process as needed. I am trained in several ways of modifying EMDR for specific client populations and preferences, for example integrating Ego State and IFS (Internal Family System) techniques to work with structural dissociation, applying the DeTur EMDR protocol for substance and behavioral addictions, and using the Natural Processing model for clients interested in somatically-focused EMDR work. I am also well-versed in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and draw upon these approaches to help clients build mindfulness, emotional regulation, and psychological flexibility skills, which enhance their ability to cope and stabilize both in preparation for and during active trauma work.
