About Me
Rosana Rivera-Delgado,MS, PhD, LPC Rosana DaSilva was born and raised on the tropical island of Puerto Rico. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of the Sacred Heart in Santurce, P.R., where she majored in Psychology. She continued her education there, eventually earning both a Masters in Science (2013) and her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology (2016). Rosana completed her APA-accredited Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the Carlos Albizu University, following the completion of her pre-doctoral internship at the Puerto Rico Bureau of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Rosana has experience working with clients across a broad array of settings, including psychiatric in-patient centers, medical integration, physical health and addiction services related hospitals, community counseling centers, outpatient substance abuse treatment, mental health clinics, and crisis intervention in both Puerto Rico and Massachusetts. Rosana enjoys working with both individuals and couples and sees adolescent, adult, and elderly patients. She is passionate about helping those struggling with depression, anxiety, self-esteem and self-image, cultural diversity, addiction (both substance abuse and eating-related concerns), grief, pre/post-surgery bariatric assessment and treatment, and trauma. Rosana is fluent in both Spanish and English, which facilitates her goal to provide culturally and language-sensitive treatment to clients from Spanish-speaking populations. Her approach to therapy encompasses several modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based therapy, and trauma-focused CBT. Her primary objective in working with patients is to provide a non-judgmental environment that facilitates the client increasing emotional effectiveness, self-respect and overall quality of life. During her spare time, Rosana enjoys cultivating her spiritual wellness through community relationships. She enjoys the peace of silence and contemplating nature. She is passionate about her roots and connecting with different cultures.
