(He/Him)
About Me
I am latino, a cisgender man, and a husband. I am the proud owner of a kindhearted canine and a sophisticated feline. I am a traveler and love to experience the world and all it has to offer, teach me, and feed me! At the same time, I am a proud New Mexican and it will always be home. I think cat videos are hilarious. I am what some might call a coffee snob and not only like to drink it but enjoy learning to brew it in all its various forms. I am an avid reader and lover of all things nerdy. I enjoy being active and actually like exercising.
Education & Experience
I was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the University of New Mexico. I have worked as a mental health counselor since 2013 and have experience with a wide variety of clients and populations having worked with groups, families, romantic relationships, and individuals. I have particular expertise in treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and relationship issues. I have specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) all of which greatly inform my clinical practice.
