About Me

I have worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma history or recent trauma, relationship issues, stress management issues, life transitions, mood swings, grief and more. I am especially passionate about women’s issues, life transitions, complex trauma, perinatal/post-partum health, and motherhood issues. In therapy I used a collaborative approach where we work together to meet your goals. The method I use is person centered and integrative. I support clients in developing further coping skills for current stressors and in developing further awareness of the purpose of their behaviors and emotional experiences. Your body and mind are intelligent and send messages that are important for learning, growth, and decision making. This is also integral to EMDR and as an EMDR client you will get to experience that growth and change innate within yourself. In therapy with me you get the opportunity to discover more of who you are and increase your confidence in coping with life’s challenges from a grounded place within yourself.

Education & Experience

My clinical and educational background includes an MS in Christian Counseling from Cairn University. I worked in private practice and at Cairn University offering counseling for students as part of my internship for my Master’s degree. I spent several years in Community Mental Health and private practice early in my professional work and now work in private practice.
