About Me

Hello, and welcome! I'm so glad you're here. As a therapist, I approach my work with compassion, empathy, and a deep commitment to supporting each of my clients. My goal is to create a safe, nurturing space where you can express yourself and explore your emotions without fear of judgment or shame. I work with individuals healing from trauma, including neurodivergent clients, and proudly identify as an anti-racist, anti-sexist, and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all.

Education & Experience

I have a B.A. in Psychology from Cal State Fullerton and an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University. I have been practicing for almost 4 years. The main populations I see are teens, young adults, and women processing trauma. My approach is rooted in holistic and somatic therapy. I have worked in many different setting such as schools, community mental health, and private practice.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

I recently started my private practice called Makayla Allen Therapy and continue to be part of a group practice called The Process Wellness Collective in Irvine, CA
