Preferred Name: Abi
About Me
Hi, I'm Abi! I'm a lesbian, chronically ill, neuro spicy, former mormon, cisgender woman. I specialize in working with high achieving, anxious, people pleasing young adults who have experienced some kind of interpersonal trauma. Trauma comes in all shapes and sizes and happens in the context of families, romantic relationships, schools, churches, and society more broadly. I believe that we have an innate capacity for healing but that we sometimes need some help to move toward that. EMDR and LENS are both great tools that help our systems to work through the places we are stuck to move toward vibrancy and joy in our lives.
Education & Experience
I received my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from the University of Vermont (UVM) in 2011 and my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2013. I became a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts in 2017. I have been practicing EMDR for 10 years and am also a Low Energy Neurofeedback System (LENS) practitioner.
