Amanda Love, LISW-S
About Me
Amanda Love is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a supervisory designation (LISW-S) in the state of Ohio. She completed her Master’s in Social Worker from Youngstown State University in 2020. Amanda is currently a community mental health therapist and prior to that she worked with children services. The population that Amanda has worked with has mainly been adults. She is well versed in criminal justice population, substance abuse, and complex trauma. Amanda was interested in EMDR because she started to notice the impact that trauma had on the criminal justice and substance abuse population. She saw the lack of empathy that went along with this specific population and wanted to do more to combat the stigma. She completed her basic training through the Institute of Creative Mindfulness in 2022 and later became a certified EMDR therapist through EMDRIA.
