About Me
My area of practice is on relationship and marital issues, trauma, posttraumatic and personality disorders. In addition to English, I am fluent in Farsi and Kurdish. This blended cultural background paired up with my personal curiosity has led me to develop a critical attitude towards traditional social norms and accept new and emerging customs. I believe this approach is essential for embracing clients from different cultural backgrounds and interaction with them from a non-judgmental and empowering perspective. I believe understanding and respecting client’s unique cultural values and being aware of our own biases are vital ingredients for creating a supportive environment for the client to bring about positive change.
