Beth Schweichler, LCSW
(She/her )
Preferred Name: Beth
About Me
I am a LCSW with more than twenty years of clinical experience working with individuals with severe mental illness, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, grief, and trauma. I also have more than ten years of experience supervising CSW's for licensure and am EMDR trained. My efforts are directed at supporting clients to find their own answers, gain insight and clarity, and ultimately promote their physical, mental, social, cultural, and spiritual wellbeing so that they may thrive. I identify as a person centered therapist but take an eclectic approach with clients as everyone's needs are different. My approach is influenced by my core belief that everyone has the capacity for personal growth and the ability to affect change in their own lives. One of my primary goals is to create a safe space that fosters trust and acceptance for clients. When this safe space is created it encourages self-acceptance, personal growth, self-esteem, and healing. Integral to my process is demonstrating respect for the whole person and the unique experiences, goals, and values that they bring to the process.
Education & Experience
I have a Masters degree from Washington University's George Warren Brown School of Social Work. I have more than 20 years of experience in mental health including community mental health, crisis stabilization, and private practice.
