Education & Experience

I am a Consultant in Training for EMDR practitioners working towards certification. I have been certified in EMDR since 2018 and have practiced it regularly since then, and have found it to be extremely helpful in working with trauma. I have 34 years experience training interns and doing presentations and workshops. Twice a year I offer training for counselors and nurses called Compassion Fatigue. I earned my Master of Arts Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln in 1990. I then worked at a residential treatment center from 1990-1994 as a Chemical Dependency Counselor. I have been in Private Practice from 1994 to the present, working with both the victims and perpetrators of domestic violence as well as addictions, mood disorders, PTSD, sexual and physical abuse and trauma. I work closely with Drug Courts, probation, lawyers, social workers, schools.
