About Me

Founded by University of Michigan trained Clinical Social Worker with a vision of healing. LCSW in the states of: California, Michigan and New York. I am a straightforward therapist who speaks the truth. Growing up on a farm taught me to be honest from a young age. My humble beginnings in rural Nebraska have shaped my down-to-earth approach. If you want to learn the truth about yourself, you're in the right place, and you might discover it's better than you think. At 18, I experienced the benefits of psychotherapy and believed, “If I can help someone like my therapist helped me, my life would have meaning.” I went to Hastings College in Nebraska on a basketball scholarship, but after my second year, I wanted a change. I transferred to the University of Northern Colorado and graduated with Honors, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. After college, I joined the Peace Corps and served in the Dominican Republic for over three years. This experience helped me earn a merit scholarship from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, where I got my Masters in Clinical Social Work. I have over 20 years of experience as a clinician, working in different counseling environments with people from various backgrounds and types of trauma.
