Mrs. Brenda Crary, LMFT
About Me
I have been a licensed therapist for over 20 years in various capacities utilizing various therapeutic modalities with children and adults. While each person is different, I noticed there was a deeper level of healing that couldn't be reached for many people. They could understand their problems and what they could do to think, feel and behave differently but the wound was still there. There were still big physiological and sometimes emotional responses that they couldn't change. I recently discovered EMDR and have found it to be THE missing piece of all the trainings, seminars and experiences I had over the years. EMDR therapy helps the brain process memories that previously were unprocessed due to them being overwhelming at the time. This allows real healing to happen and that's why I am now focused only EMDR therapy. I want everyone to experience the benefits of being freed by EMDR and so offer low cost therapy. I invite you to email me!
Education & Experience
I received my Master's in Clinical Counseling from Pepperdine University and my Bachelor's in Biology and Chemistry from UCSD. Throughout my career, I have worked with students and parents at a school district with a variety of problems including parenting, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I have also worked as a Clinical Supervisor at Olive Crest Family Foster Agency using trauma-informed treatment with foster family Case Managers, and I have trained foster and adoptive parents and professionals on trauma-informed practices.
