About Me
I am an EMDR-trained therapist who values compassion, joy, and laughter in healing. Using client-centered, trauma-informed, and strength-based methods, I prioritize your goals as we work together toward growth. As a queer-identified and sober individual, I provide an affirming space to transform with kindness, support, and authenticity.
Education & Experience
I hold a PhD in Social Justice Education and an MA in Women and Gender Studies from the University of Toronto, an MSW from Georgia State University, and a BA in Sociology from Brock University. My experience includes working with individuals living with and affected by HIV/AIDS, providing crisis intervention and direct support for people with co-occurring diagnoses of addiction and mental health challenges, and extensive private practice experience. My goal is to build a respectful and empowering therapeutic relationship with you, grounded in solidarity and empathy as we navigate your journey of self-discovery and growth. Our sessions will focus on helping you clarify your goals, amplify your strengths, and deepen your self-awareness in a safe and affirming space. I specialize in trauma processing, PTSD, substance use and recovery, and supporting trans and non-binary individuals through social and medical transition. Together, we’ll create an open and supportive dialogue to foster healing and personal growth.
