About Me

Ceit is a registered psychotherapist, Accredited EMDR Therapist and a co-director of EMDR Group Therapy Aotearoa. She is based on the Kāpiti Coast, near Wellington, New Zealand. Her interest in working collaboratively with EMDR Therapy, and increasing awareness and accessibility of EMDR, led to the establishment of EMDR Group Therapy Aotearoa, with the ethos that EMDR Group Therapy can make EMDR accessible to a wider population, including those with more complex presentations, and that there is a healing power in groups. Ceit's work in co-developing the Sexual Violence Survivors' (SVS) EMDR Group Protocol featured in EMDR Group Therapy: Emerging Principles and Protocols to Treat Trauma and Beyond (Springer Publishing, 2023). In addition to facilitating groups and her individual private practice, Ceit provides training and consultation on the SVS Protocol and is passionate about supporting clinicians to set up safe and effective EMDR Group Therapy programmes for sexual violence survivors and other moderate to complex populations in her home country Aotearoa and around the globe.
