About Me
I was born, raised and educated in Singapore, where I practised as a Registered Psychologist for more than seven years in schools, medical and community settings. Given my multicultural background from Singapore, I am comfortable and attuned to various ethnicities. While I am trained to work with a range of concerns, I have all along been most interested and experienced in working with adults who are facing issues related to complex trauma, stress, anxiety or mood disorders. My interest towards counselling psychology developed from personal experiences with complex trauma as well as coping with an autoimmune condition. Through my own personal counselling therapy, lifelong learning on re-parenting, and actively caring for myself, I have been experiencing significant improvement in my health and well-being. With over 10 years of experience, I hope to provide you with a safe and non-judgmental environment to heal and grow. We will journey through those difficult moments and explore what it means to live with deeper clarity, authenticity and joy. It will indeed be my honour to connect with you and i look forward to our time together.
Education & Experience
My approach is wholehearted, empathetic and collaborative. I am generally guided by a compassion-focused, mindfulness-based approach that involves reflective conversations as well as psycho-educational skills training from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). For trauma-related issues, my preferred treatment methods are Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). Since every client has unique needs, I also work by integrating tools and techniques from different therapy approaches.
