Mr. Courtney Collier, LADAC II, CADC I, SAP, CPRS
(He/Him)
About Me
My overall goal is to provide exceptional therapeutic services to clients and referral partners - in turn, breaking through the barriers and stigmas associated with deficient levels of service for mental health clients. My values are to ensure all who encounter me feel a person-centered treatment experience. I specialize in helping underserved youth/adolescent, LQBTQIA+, and other adult populations with an emphasis on Substance Use Disorders (SUD). My theoretical orientation is a prescriptive and relational-cultural approach to treatment. I spend my leisure time making artwork in a medium called Diamond Art Painting. Designing this genre of art has become a key part of my personal life and recovery. When fashioning my uniquely designed portraits I feel a direct connection with my God-given ability to create.
Education & Experience
My educational accomplishments consist of an undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership; a Master’s in Business Administration; and obtaining my Certified Peer Recovery Support (CPRS) certification from the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (TDMHSA). I am completing the Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Freed-Hardeman University and received the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) 2023 Minority Fellowship in Addictions Counseling.
