About Me
I've worked with clients from diverse backgrounds and challenges. In my work on a hospital inpatient unit and as an outpatient counselor, I work a lot with clients struggling with suicidality, trauma and abuse, depression, bipolar disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. I have have experience working with people who experience psychosis, manic episodes, dissociative symptoms, and what are generally diagnosed as borderline personality disorder (although I don't like the focus or pathologizing that come with that diagnosis). I also work a lot with depression anxiety, and do some couples counseling. My approach combines mindfulness-based approaches, somatic psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems parts-based work, as well as EMDR. I'm LGBTQIA+ allied, kink-friendly, non-monogamy allied . I have taught college levels courses on race and gender theory, history, and policy in the U.S. An ally with never-ending work to be a better ally. Work and training in relationship abuse. Couples counseling experience.
