About Me
My name is Drake Schoeppl, LCSW. I'm a licensed therapist practicing in both Florida and Illinois. I have years of experience working with PTSD, depression, anxiety, LGBTQ+ individuals, complex trauma, addiction, and relational issues. I take a holistic and trauma-informed approach and believes that one's culture is integral in treatment. I have worked in a variety of roles from being a crisis therapist responding to 911 calls related to mental health, a therapist on an inpatient psychiatric unit, a substance use rehabilitation center, and working with LGBTQ+ youth and young adults and their families. I provide a holistic approach in my practice utilizing methods from multiple modalities that include helping regulate emotions, manage anxiety and panic, and learning to heal from past trauma. I believe that it is crucial to look at things from a trauma-informed and cultural perspective in all aspects while working with individuals. I'm here to meet you where you are and work on whatever goals you have for yourself. I'm not here to judge or impose my own beliefs on you. I believe in open, two-way communication in therapy where you feel comfortable being open and honest with me about my therapy style. I believe that the relationship between us and building trust are the most important aspects of therapy.
