About Me
Hi, my name is Laura Amelia Gutierrez, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado and the owner of The Road Less Travelled Counseling Services. I have a wide variety of experiences working with different types of mental health issues but have the most experience helping people who struggle with anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders or have unresolved trauma. My hope is to provide a safe space for you to process your emotions, develop a deeper understanding of your needs, wants and who you are, and help you make progress in your healing journey. I want to help you reach your fullest potential.
Education & Experience
I have a background in General Psychology, my counseling approach is eclectic and integrative. Some of the therapeutic modalities I use are: EMDR, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Parts Work, Somatic Psychotherapy, and Tapping Solutions also known as Emotional Freedom Technique. I also like to integrate Gestalt Techniques and Narrative Techniques into my approach.
