About Me

Hi! I’m Laura McCorry, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who’s passionate about helping adults navigate life after loss. My practice focuses on death-related and non-death related losses, partially specializing in sudden/unexpected loss. Often while grieving we’re met with unsolicited advice and assumptions around how we’re ‘supposed’ to cope and feel- my goal is to create a space where you can show up just as you are, without someone telling you how you’re feeling is wrong. I started my practice to offer the non-judgmental support I wish I had when I was grieving the unexpected loss of my partner years ago. Although we can’t ‘fix’ your grief, you’ll feel supported, heard, and learn ways to cope with the anxiety, trauma, loneliness, and intense emotions that come with it- completely at your own pace. Grief lasts as long as love lasts- let's find a way to carry it.
