About Me
I am dedicated to creating a compassionate, safe, and supportive space for individuals to navigate life’s challenges. Grounded in trauma-informed principles and strength-based approaches, my practice recognizes the brain’s ability to heal, adapt, and grow. I empower clients to harness resilience, find meaning, and move toward lasting positive change.
Education & Experience
I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker in Alberta, Canada, with over eight years of experience providing counselling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families. My practice is rooted in a client-centered, trauma-informed approach, and I work with a wide range of presenting issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Before becoming a therapist, I worked extensively in mental health settings in both the UK and Africa, where I gained valuable cross-cultural experience and deepened my understanding of the diverse ways people experience and cope with psychological distress. This background continues to inform my culturally responsive and compassionate therapeutic style. For the past four years, I have integrated Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) into my practice to support clients in processing traumatic experiences and other distressing life events. I completed my EMDR basic training and have recently fulfilled all requirements for EMDR certification, further strengthening my ability to offer evidence-based trauma therapy. I am committed to ongoing professional development and creating a safe, collaborative space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their healing journey.
