Education & Experience

I have a keen appreciation for addiction therapy, understanding the underlying issues must be addressed. I began studying addiction counseling in 2010 and quickly found my passion in the counseling world. After becoming a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), I obtained my Bachelor Degree in Psychology from Liberty University, followed by my Masters Degree in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University. I specialize in addiction counseling and trauma therapy. I work with many adults, young adults, and families. I am a certified EMDR therapist and have studied complex trauma and structural dissociation. I have significant experience in the treatment of complex trauma, mental illness, and family dysfunction as contributing factors with chemical dependency clients. My focus is client-centered and my primary counseling approaches are CBT, EMDR and Brainspotting. I am an active member of both EMDRIA and NASW. I have a passion for helping others. My career is my calling and I believe in continual development and growth as a professional. I meet my clients where they are and see myself as a partner and guide in the healing process.
