About Me
Hi! My name is Molly, and I have spent many years studying trauma and child sexual abuse as a researcher and Professor, and lately, as a trauma therapist. I earned my MSW in 2007, and then my PhD in Social Welfare at the University of Buffalo in 2014. I am a tenured Professor in the Social Work Department at Penn West University (Edinboro Campus). My research on trauma and child sexual abuse has been published in national and international academic journals, and I have presented at numerous national and international conferences. In addition to my academic and research experience I am a Licensed Social Worker (LCSW) in PA. I have specialized training using Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR),Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and the Flash Technique. In my direct clinical practice, I have been working with adult trauma survivors at the Crime Victim’s Center, and recently I began working with adults in my private practice as well. As an educator, researcher, and trauma therapist, the application of evidence-based practice is key to my clinical practice. Surviving trauma is terrible and painful, and you don’t have to do it alone. If you were brave enough to read my bio, it’s because a part of you wants to heal. I am proud of you for coming this far, and I want you to know: trauma is healable. Many people have healed from their trauma and you can too, with the right treatment. Thank you for taking the time to read my bio. I look forward to speaking with you and seeing if our personalities are a match for each other.
