About Me
My name is Rebecca Rosalez and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with additional training to provide supervision to other clinicians seeking licensure (LCSW / TX 57211). I am also licensed to practice in D.C.(License# LC50081554), Florida (License #TPSW3270) Maryland (License #30336), Utah (License #10462489-3501) & Virginia (License #0904017587). As a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), I integrate the principles of Somatic Experiencing® into my therapeutic work to help clients resolve trauma and restore balance to their nervous systems. Somatic Experiencing (SE®) is a body-centered approach developed by Dr. Peter Levine, designed to gently guide individuals through the process of renegotiating traumatic experiences. Unlike traditional talk therapy, SE emphasizes the role of the body in healing, recognizing that trauma is stored not just in the mind but also within the body’s nervous system As a EMDRIA Certified and Consultant In Training therapist (EMDRIA Member ID: 55273690) I specialize in helping trauma survivors by the use of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) I am a Certified First Responder Counselor (CFRC) which means I have completed a minimum of 50 hours of education to further develop the tools needed to effectively reach and support first responders with cultural competence, expertise, confidence, and empathy. I am a Certified Grief Educator, trained by renowned Grief Expert David Kessler, helping clients in grief find peace after even the most devastating losses. As a couples therapist, I integrate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help partners create deeper emotional bonds, the Gottman Method to strengthen communication and conflict resolution skills, and Discernment Counseling for couples uncertain about whether to stay together. My approach is affirming, non-judgmental, and sex-positive, creating a space where all relationship styles and identities are respected. I am also experienced in working with non-traditional relationship structures (ENM) and helping partners navigate the complexities of open and polyamorous relationships with intention and care.

I received my Masters of Social Work from the University of Houston Graduate School of Social Work in 2006. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Houston - Central Campus in 2002.
