About Me
I am Remington Vandergriff, LCSW, BCD, a medically retired US Army Major. My virtual-only practice is called Bonafide Therapeutic Alliance. I have 12+ years of experience and I specialize in Veteran issues and men's mental health; however my practice is not limited to only that. My approach integrates evidence-based treatments, including REBT, CBT, CPT, PE, EMDR, SFT, MI, Hypnotherapy, and CBTi. That said, I believe true healing comes from a strong therapeutic alliance, not just the modality. My clients consistently describe feeling at ease, heard, and genuinely understood.
Education & Experience
I earned my MSW in the Army MSW Program at Ft. Sam Houston in 2012 and earned my LCSW in the Army's intensive Social Work Internship Program at Brooke Army Medical Center in 2015. I earned my Board Certified Diplomate in 2018. I have been trained in EMDR since 2013. I served as an Army Behavioral Health Officer from 2015-2018. In 2018 I began working for the Department of Veteran's Affairs. I recently opened a virtual only private practice.

I am a member of the NASW and the Phi Alpha Honor Society. Additionally, I am an executive board member of both the American Legion and the American Legion Riders, a member of the VFW, and a member of the DAV.
