About Me
I have had the great pleasure of providing EMDR services for 24 years, and continued to be delighted by its depth, creativity, enjoyment, effectiveness, ease, and efficiency. I am a psychotherapist, sex and couple counsellor, clinical supervisor, social worker, teacher, and author with both public and private sector experience in Canada and the United States. Most often, I am using EMDR for emotional hurts and impacts; relational challenges; couple enhancement; professional, career or personal resilience and performance; artistic expression and creativity; building corporate and business finesse and excellence; depression, anxiety, self-esteem and self-confidence; as well as with difficult events and traumatic experiences. EMDR has been utilized privately, with federal public servants, military personnel, Veterans and the RCMP; for Health Canada; the Quebec Ministry of Health and Social Services; in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF/FAC); and with palliative care; professional athletes including World Champions, members of the NHL and CFL, as well as with workplaces, police organizations, and emergency medical technicians. I have developed and presented bilingual corporate webinars and intervention for workplace harassment and bullying and the dehumanization of the victim for various organizations, including UNESCO; and served as a talk radio therapist (‘Shrinkrap’) and television guest for many years, in addition to taking part in media related to the psychological impacts of working in prison environments. In recent years, I have concentrated on the impacts of Moral Injury - the distressing psychological, behavioral, social, and sometimes spiritual aftermath of exposure to disturbing events. A moral injury can occur in response to acting or witnessing behaviors that go against an individual's values and moral beliefs; and have also done so in collaboration with Whistleblowing Canada Research Group in Ottawa, Ontario. I served as a talk radio therapist (‘Shrinkrap’) and television guest for many years, in addition to taking part in media related to the psychological impacts of working in prison environments.

Douglas Center for Clinical Psychology in collaboration with Concordia University and allied organizations. The project brings together trauma intervention experts, clinical technique trainers and supervisors; language, history and cultural specialists, administrators and therapy practitioners. PROFESSIONAL CONSULTANT AT WHISTLEBLOWING CANADA RESEARCH SOCIETY 2021 – PRESENT BOARD MEMBER - OTTAWA, ONTARIO Whistleblowing Canada is a non-profit corporation and a registered charity. Its founding was inspired largely by the knowledge gained about whistleblowing and more specifically, reprisals against whistleblowers. While effective whistleblower protection legislation is necessary, equally if not more important, are dysfunctional cultures in society and organizations. This enables the ongoing contradiction of punishing those who tell the truth while the wrongdoers often continue with impunity. Allowing this contradiction to persist means that people who witness wrongdoing often don't speak up for fear of reprisals. This allows wrongdoing to flourish and presents a major threat to public health and safety, environmental health, organizational accountability-both public and private - and Canadian democracy.
