About Me
I am a bilingual (English/Spanish), Latina clinician with 23 years in mental health and health care settings, working with diverse cultures and races within the South Florida area. I specialize in trauma-informed care using EMDR, for individuals and couples, and I use various evidenced-based clinical practices in the areas of relationships, phobias, eating disorders, neurodivergence, attachment disorders, addictions, life transitions, pre & post natal maternal depression & birth trauma, anxiety, chronic illness, grief & loss, abuse & neglect, work with first responders & military, and depression. I have a passion for integrating faith-based perspectives and a holistic approach, per client preference or request, to healing and wellness, and being creative in my approach to therapy, incorporating multiple schools of thought and theories/interventions into therapy. I am licensed in Florida and South Carolina. I offer in-person and virtual trauma Intensives using EMDR and other modalities for individuals and couples.
Education & Experience
I received by Bachelors degree from Nova Southeastern University, and my Masters degrees from Florida International University. I obtained a certificate in addictions studies, grant writing and administration, and have practiced within a variety of niche within the mental health, medical and substance abuse field for over 23 years.
