Change is inevitable and can be difficult, but it doesn’t have to be insurmountable. I strive to help people manage the changes in their lives, recover from the difficult experiences in their past, and prepare for the inevitable changes in their future. I specialize in life transitions, men's issues, and coping with anxiety and depressive symptoms. I am currently accepting new clients.
Education & Experience
Steve is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working with youth and families for over 25 years. He is certified in EMDR, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and is trained in Motivational Interviewing, Child Centered Play Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Steve’s vast experience working with multiple systems, such as public service, education, foster care and adoptions, juvenile detention, and the courts, informs his practice. Steve has helped youth and adults with issues of attachment, anxiety, depression, anger, adoption, trauma, hyperactivity, attention-deficit, and substance abuse. He is licensed in the state of Virginia and he is certified to provide clinical supervision in Virginia.
