Approved for 4 EMDRIA Credits
The term “dissociation” can apply to many diverse experiences from daydreaming to depersonalization to identity alteration. Learn how to use several screening tools, acquire accurate strengths-based language, and explore which interventions may be helpful for various types of dissociation you will encounter in EMDR work. Four screening tools will be discussed: the Dissociative Experiences Scale (DES), the 60-Item Version of the Multidimensional Inventory of Dissociation (MID-60), the Adolescent Dissociative Experiences Scale (A-DES), and the Child Dissociative Checklist (CDC). Participants will learn how each might be useful in practice, including how to administer and score.
