During this presentation, participants will gain resources and learn about integration and ethical considerations of integrating Eco-Art Therapy with EMDR Phases when treating trauma. Participants will understand what art therapy and eco-art therapy is, its effectiveness in treating trauma, and safety considerations of using art and visual/nonverbal processing with EMDR phases 2-7. Participants will gain hands-on experience in eco-art therapy using a combination of natural materials for emotion regulation, coping skills and establishing a sense of safety as a part of EMDR Phase 2 training. Creative Processing and Grounding Techniques for EMDR Phase 2 will be demonstrated.
