Carol Miles, MSW, LCSW, is a seasoned Clinical Social Worker recognized for her expertise in EMDR therapy and dedication to advancing mental health care. Specializing in EMDR intensives for adults, she offers both in-person sessions in Covington, Louisiana, and virtual options.

With over 30 years of experience in clinical practice, administration, and marketing in both the public and private sectors, Carol brings a wealth of knowledge to the field. A LSU School of Social Work graduate, she has extensive expertise in treating trauma.

An esteemed educator and mentor, Miles leads the Three Rivers Training Center, which includes 3 EMDRIA-Approved Basic Trainers. Through this center, she provides comprehensive EMDR training nationally and internationally, including specialized programs for working with children and Spanish-speaking communities. The Three Rivers Training Center has hosted advanced trainings annually in New Orleans for over a decade.

Her deep commitment to EMDR therapy is reflected in her extensive involvement with EMDRIA, where she holds certifications as a Therapist, Consultant, and Basic and Advanced Trainer. Carol has also served in leadership roles, including a term as EMDRIA President, shaping the profession’s future.

A sought-after speaker at national and international conferences, Carol presents on topics such as EMDR Therapy and EMDR and Ethics. Her contributions to EMDRIA earned her the Outstanding Contribution Award in 2023.

Beyond her professional achievements, Carol dedicated two decades to shaping future mental health professionals as an adjunct professor at Tulane School of Social Work. As a retired co-chair of the South Louisiana EMDR Network and a former EMDRIA Board member, her legacy continues to inspire and shape the field of mental health care.
